About Us

Pilgrim Community Church began with a call to prayer for the neighborhood in September, 1974. At that time Sis. Claudette Carpenter was obedient to the call of GOD for prayer and assembled the neighbors in the home of the Carpenters. The prayer gathering continued for two years, then Bro. James Carpenter was lead by the Spirit of the Lord to move the prayer meeting to 194-04 99th Avenue giving birth to Pilgrim Community Church in 1976. The dedication service was held to open the church with Pastor James Carpenter and his wife Sis. Claudette Carpenter. Later, Rev. Dr. Claudette Carpenter was installed as Co-Pastor and the two faithfully served the Pilgrim Community Church for over 28 years.

As Pastor James and Co-Pastor Clauduette moved to new areas of ministry, Pastor Myles was installed as Pastor of Pilgrim Communtiy Church, along with his wife, Co-Pastor Tina Howard under the leadership of Bishop Robert Rochford.

After seven years as Pastor of Pilgrim Community Church, Pastor Myles Howard was elevated to the office of Bishop in July ,2010

under the bishopric of Acrhbishop Roy E. Brown, Pilgrim Assemblies International, Inc..
